DAY 5
Today we have been to Powerscourt Gardens. We got inside the premises by coach and started wandering around. As we discovered the Japanese garden or the Pepperpot tower we passed by gigantic sequoias or huge cedar trees. Students were scattered all around and the morning was wonderful.
Later on we went to Dublin Fair City and walked around the area of O'Connell Street, across the Hal'a'penny Bridge up to Temple Bar. Finally, shopping and shopping and shopping, endlessly.

Where History starts!! In the Tara Valley, by the river Boyne, we can find the oldest megalithic mounds. Were they only tombs? Were they sanctuaries? Without any doubt, they are impressive for their size, place, carvings, numbers, ...
As centuries pass by, we meet the Celtic Heritage in the turning of the first millennium: the genuine round towers with defensive purposes, the standing carved crosses, the remains of an abbey, ... So, we are still travelling through History.
Rainy and windy? What a change! |
